The blue anodized jumprings float around the center chain, never passing through it. I love working with orbital chainmaille weaves, they make such fascinating patterns and have so many possibilities. See my Tetra Orb jewelry for another example of orbital chainmaille.
The blue rings are anodized aluminum, the center chain is enameled copper, and the earwires and toggle clasp are silver plated. The second picture best represents the actual color of the blue rings.
